Meet the Team
Stephen Lester
Stephen Lester has led the company since 2012 through all stages of development. He previously held several CEO positions with a proven track record within business services, building infrastructure, IT, consultancy, and commercial markets. After 10 years working within the heat pump and solar sectors, Stephen was a founder of Flint Engineering, and leads our R&D. He is results-oriented and revenue-focused, with operational infrastructure, sales & business development skills.
Mark Robinson
Mark Robinson has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, fundraising, and relationship building in the UK and overseas. He sat on the board as CEO of publicly traded APC Technology Group PLC for 20 years, where he grew the core business and oversaw diversification into growth markets. His attention is now focused on early-stage businesses with the potential to make a positive environmental impact.
Paul Jordon
Paul Jordon is MD of the Jordon Group, which has nearly 60 years of experience providing end-to-end turnkey solutions and critical asset maintenance services. Under Jordon’s leadership, this family-run business has grown to £40 million in revenue, becoming a national leader in air-conditioning, refrigeration, and shopfitting.
Headquartered in Manchester, Jordon employs 120 highly skilled colleagues who serve clients in key sectors such as fuel stations, hospitality, leisure, and retail across the UK. Notable clients include Euro Garages, Motor Fuel Group, and Center Parcs.
Jonathan Laredo
Jonathan Laredo was until 2022, the CEO of Yew Grove REIT PLC (which he founded in 2014), an Irish commercial property company listed on the Dublin and London stock exchanges. He has over 30 years’ experience in the financial sector as a senior employee of banks in London and Singapore as well as running his own firms focused on managing money and raising capital. He qualified as an Inspector of Taxes and spent several years at KPMG and industry before moving into finance.
Marco Franchi
Marco Franchi leads a team of 75 staff at his family business, Franchi Plc. Since taking the helm, the group has grown into the leading specification ironmongery supplier in London, with revenue more than doubling under Franchi’s leadership. He’s an active strategic investor in several businesses focused on providing solutions to world sustainability issues. He joined the board in 2023 to help generate awareness of the IsoMatTM technology using his extensive worldwide network of contacts.
Andy Murrin
Andy Murrin is a Chartered Surveyor and Architectural Entrepreneur. As owner and Chairman of MBH Design Studio Limited, he has a 50-strong international design and project management consultancy built on the foundation of 35 years’ experience in downstream oil, food retail and hospitality sectors. An expert in team development, motivation, and sales he joined Flint’s Board of Directors in 2023 to help bring the environmental benefits of Flint’s innovations to the attention of a worldwide audience.
Michael Lock
Michael Lock has crafted a career by specializing in brand development. For over 30 years, Lock has overseen growth in revenue and brand value in the automotive and property development sectors. From startups like the rebirth of Triumph Motorcycles, and London-based property company, Metropolis Developments, to brand turnaround situations as CEO of both Ducati North America and Automobili Lamborghini, Lock has demonstrated expertise in delivering differentiated and profitable businesses.
Lee Compton
Lee Compton is a Qualified Engineer with over 45 years’ experience in the Construction Industry. As Owner and CEO of one of the UK’s leading MEP companies, and have previously held several Board-level positions at large companies in the same sector. His business is fully committed to looking for sustainable and carbon reduction solutions on the schemes they are involved with, and Lee has led the business on a strategic growth in revenues from £50m to over £250m.
